Írjon visszajelzéstThis is a very nice restaurant with great food and very good staff. We have been there twice, and the service was very good. the food is primo and the owner surprised us with a fruit desert on the house. Our last visit was yesterday evening and the service was even better! The staff was friendly and attentive. We were even surprised when we were presented with miso soup on the house. This is a very special Asian Fusion restaurant. Highly recommended. Chuck Carmen
We went on a Monday night and are always on the fence about what to order. We happened to be in Ithaca and decided to give this place a try, even though we weren't sure if the fish would be fresh. The place was deserted- we were the only people inside until we were getting ready to leave (another couple showed up then). Service was great. We decided to get a couple drinks, which we thought were overpriced, but still ended up being good. Miso mushroom soup were tasty. Ocean roll was our least favorite of what we ordered- needed sauce on top or something. Cornell roll was great- unlike anything else we found. Tokyo roll was refreshing. Dancing beef was dry and needed sauce or something. Jumbo veggie roll was a nice twist on the usual sweet potato roll.
There is something about the Hibachi experience, especially at Tokyo, that makes dinner that much better. Tokyo was super accommodating for our friend's 21st birthday. She has a dairy allergy and they were able to accommodate these needs by bringing her out a separately prepared bowl of steamed white rice due to their being butter in the fried rice. However, they did bring her out fried ice cream as her birthday treat which she could not eat, but she didn't mind. Our chef wasn't as enthusiastic as previous chefs, but he made great food regardless. Tokyo has such a nice atmosphere; it's very spacious and breathable, you never feel like you're on top of someone else. It's great for large parties, or if you're just looking to get some sushi and fusion dishes. It was an overall great dining experience and I will be back for more!
We had a friend that had never braved sushi before, so our group decided that a late night hibachi dinner was in order. We arrived about an hour and half before closing, so we took a dining room seat. The hostess brought us salads, with an undisclosed dressing, and menus. The boys went big and ordered many rolls, all of which scrumptious, but too much for them to stomach so late at night. The staff willingly brought to go boxes out for them. I had the seafood soup, my first stab at squid, which I surprisingly enjoyed. Also took the leap and tried eel, which also sat well with me. Perhaps the most amusing part of all was that she had brought me out a bear sword made of balloons, and a crown fit for a fool that the boys fought over. Definitely a meal to remember.
Went here for the first time and only time tonight. Hubs and I came here for the all you can eat sushi which is 23.00 per person. The options for all you can eat are pretty good, a wide assortment of items from both the sushi bar and kitchen. The quality of food was not good. I was looking forward to this all week as a birthday treat and I could barely finish my food. It's like the quality of sushi you get at the supermarket, and I'm not talking Wegman's. Wegman's sushi is better than this. Beware for the bill, they add about 18% tip automatically to your bill. I look over my bill but hubs doesn't and he totally would've added tip on top of that. I get adding tips to larger parties automatically, but for a party of 2? The prices for drinks are ridiculous. There were large parties coming in for hibachi, so maybe that's good? But I wouldn't go back to try.
