Corner 28 is a small 2-story food court on the very busy 40th Rd., near Main St. in Flushing. The main stores include the Gold Medal BBQ, a 4 dish soup shop, and a dim sum shop. Food is very reasonably priced and the selection is quite good. After getting your food, you can just grab one of the open tables on the second floor. One of the main advertisements for the second floor that it's tip free... well, most self-service places are tip free. Corner 28 is definitely our favorite place to grab a quick bite when we don't feel like cooking.
This hidden gem, located on the right side of the entrance in Flushing, offers exceptional meat and high-quality rice dishes at incredibly affordable prices, averaging around $6.50 per plate. I frequent this place whenever I'm in Flushing, even if I don't plan to eat immediately. The crispy pork and roast duck are family favorites at my house. You can also find some of the best char siu (roast pork) and soy sauce chicken here. Within this mini food mall, there are other delicious options as well, including sushi, scallion pancakes, vegetarian dishes, and the popular three-dish combo served with rice for a very reasonable price (about $5). There's definitely something for everyone! I even enjoyed a scorpion pancake with egg for just $2!
I ordered the Half Roast Duck for $14, and it was absolutely delicious! The ambiance was lively, which added to the experience. Make sure to try it with some fresh garlic sauce—it’s a must!
While these Beijing duck sandwiches aren't the best I've ever had, they are an incredible bargain at just $1.75. They're quite tasty and definitely worth trying!
