La Mia Pizza - City of New York

Great pizza! Really good. My personal fav is buffalo chicken slice.

Among the four pizza restaurants in the area, this one stands out as the best I've discovered so far. I’ve only ever ordered pizza here, and I've consistently been pleased with the variety they offer. As for the service, I can’t say I’ve encountered any problems since I always order and pay in cash. I prefer to pay cash because I've heard they charge a fee for credit card payments, so I like to avoid that. It has the typical NYC pizza restaurant vibe, with minimal ambiance and just enough tables to sit and enjoy your slice of pizza.

Beyond their pizza, La Mia also serves a solid selection of Italian dishes. The eggplant parmesan is delicious, and the baked ziti is a treat. The decor reflects the typical New York pizzeria vibe, complete with CNN playing on the TV and pop music blasting from a boom box. Around 3 PM, you'll see kids from the local schools streaming in for their after-school snacks, hanging out until dinner time. The atmosphere is lively and fun.

Absolutely the best wings in New York! I’ve searched high and low for wings that can compete with Buffalo’s finest, and surprisingly, this pizzeria does it better than anywhere else in town. They always have blue cheese dressing on hand, but I usually have to run next door to the bodega for celery. It’s totally worth the trip!
