Even if you can't get a reservation, I'd suggest just walking in to see if there's a table available. We visited on Valentine's Day, and it wasn't too crowded. I highly recommend the lionfish buns; they're delicious and rank just below my friend's favorite. We'll definitely be back soon!
My partner and I visited this restaurant for a date night, and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious with amazing flavors—authentic dishes prepared with a unique twist. The service was great, and the drinks complemented our meal perfectly, making for a wonderful experience. He had the jerk-fangs-tacos, I enjoyed the jerk-lax, and we shared the heels.
The lionfish is absolutely delicious! Although it is an invasive species that poses a threat to reefs and has few natural predators, we can help by eating them. They do have a painful and dangerous sting, which is another reason to enjoy them! This restaurant is the only one I know of in NYC that serves lionfish, as featured in The New York Times. It has a charming atmosphere, and I would happily go there even if they didn't serve lionfish. I highly recommend it and am eagerly looking forward to my next visit!
Great food, as always. I really appreciate this place.
This place is okay. The jerk pork steam buns were good but for them to be so small they were not worth $12. The escovitch sea bass was delicious as well but also not worth $21 if I getting a fillet and not the whole fish. I would eat there again for happy hour if the prices are cheaper or the portion size was slightly larger. I would not travel back to the city from Queens just for the food.
