I enjoy the normal spice level that is on the food but if it's something that has you a bit worried, you can ask for less spice.
What an amazing hidden gem in the heart of downtown Schenectady! Our dining experience started with Sean, a seasoned server at Pho Queen. He was both knowledgeable and friendly, providing prompt service and expert recommendations that truly elevated our dinner. We sampled a variety of appetizers, soups, and main courses. The food arrived hot, bursting with rich, authentic flavors, and was of excellent quality. It's great to support local small businesses like this one. I wholeheartedly recommend it — a perfect 10 out of 10!
As a regular customer, I've had the chance to try nearly all the appetizers on the menu, and my favorites are definitely the Crab Rangoon and the chicken dumplings—they're a must-try! For drinks, I typically order the Thai Iced Tea; you can add bubbles, but I'm not really a fan of bubble drinks. For the main course, I highly recommend the Drunken Noodles with shrimp, especially if you enjoy spicy food—it’s definitely worth a try. When it comes to desserts, both the fresh mango with sticky rice and the fried ice cream are fantastic. I don’t say this often, but the service here is impressively good compared to other places. Without a doubt, this is the best Thai cuisine in Schenectady. Period! A tip: if you place an order during lunch hours, you get two complimentary spring rolls.
Absolutely incredible experience, from the service to the food. We spotted the restaurant while driving to a familiar favorite, but a conversation with someone we nearly had an accident with convinced us to give it a try, as they claimed to eat there at least twice a week. The decor is both nice and unique for a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant, though I found the music a bit loud for my liking. The fried spring rolls were among the best I've ever had, and the pad Thai was perfectly spiced, offering a nice balance instead of an overpowering peanut taste. I particularly appreciated that the peanuts were finely crushed, rather than coarsely smashed like at many other places. I can't recall the name of the soup I ordered—it's the fourth one on the menu—but it was outstanding, with just the right amount of heat, rich flavor, and the rice noodles were cooked to perfection.
I had a delicious bowl of pho at this restaurant. When I arrived the restaurant was actually empty so I changed my takeout order to dine in. The person at the front desk, who also is the server and the chef was extremely friendly. She was very helpful and very pleasant with her interaction. The bowl of beef pho was delicious. The broth was extremely flavorful. The toppings were fresh. I would definitely come back to this place. There is metered parking across the street.
