La Papa - Ciudad de Panama

La Papa is definitely one of the top casual dining spots in Panama. Offering a diverse menu of expertly prepared dishes made with fresh ingredients, it consistently delivers a satisfying meal at an affordable price. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's always a fantastic option for either lunch or dinner.

I didn't speak Spanish at all, but the staff at this restaurant were very patient with our group of six. By the end of our vacation, I was able to order a full meal partly thanks to their help. The grilled garlic shrimp and candied nut salad were outstanding. The menu is quite extensive, offering a range of options. The interior is casual, yet spacious, and the menu caters to both casual and fine dining experiences with a good selection of wines. We arrived late in the evening and had no trouble getting a table. Despite a steady stream of customers, the restaurant was not overcrowded.

The experience was just okay, but the food seemed to be lacking something. I ordered the falafel, which was decent, but the fries were not fresh, affecting my overall opinion. The pizza was average and the service was satisfactory. I'm unsure if I will return in the future.

The food here sucks. Service is good, but the kitchen needs management. Pathetic.

Really nice place. Panama is not known for its good service but this restaurant is different. Really friendly and alert staff. The food is also really nice. The atmosphere is relaxed
