Írjon visszajelzéstThis was a cloister at one time, long ago. The architecture is the only give-away as to its past when visiting there today. There are 30 different stalls for any and all sorts of edible and non-edible needs and also a supermarket on floor one. I totally get that evolution is inevitable and things change. The old becomes new again with the adaptation to different uses. From the viewpoint of a tourist, maybe it is lost on me as to how important a role this new use will play in the lives of the actual residents. There was a hope that there would have been some vestige of history (other than the obvious architectural) with which to connect.
We visited the city for a second time and had noticed this busy place near the fish market. Ordered several tapas plates between 5 of us and beers. All dishes were excellent, served by friendly staff. We also had desserts from a limited selection but all again excellent. Try this place
Es Mercat restaurant, next to the market (some of the reviews here seem to be of a different restaurant). A great find, seemed busy both times we went here. Lovely tapas selection, reasonably priced too and good wine choices all made even better by our French waiter Miguel I think? Highly recommended.
Good place for a romantic dinner, good wines and some great sausages, the owner won great!
Good place to take a breathless vermut accompanied by cans of conserve like all life. They won't let the kids in, great!
