Casa Jimenez - Claremont

One of my favorite places. Great authentic Mexican food. Great value my favorite is the all you can eat at this location right now is only $17 what a great deal.

The all you can eat is impressive and the prices are great! Their caldos rule!

To start, service and atmosphere are great. I 'm no expert on Mexican -American) food. Tbh, most Mexican-ish food tastes the same to me. I like it, and it isn 't often I think the food is meh . This is one time I think the food is meh . I had the chicken and avocado salad. The lettuce iceberg) was very watery. Problem is the water washes away all the seasoning and dressing. Speaking of dressing, I was given a bottle of off the shelf Kraft Ranch dressing. The chicken was thin and very chewy. The seasoning was ok. Friend had the chorizo and eggs breakfast and thought, meh . The Pico de Gallo was ok, but bland. We mixed it with the salsa for spice. All in all, I wouldn 't recommend it and probably won 't return.

The salsa served with chips is some of the best I've had. I ordered the molcajete--at $25, it's the best deal in my area compared to others. Beans were on the bland side, but everything else was just right. I'll definitely be back to try other items.

The food is excellent, and the portions are plentiful at a reasonable price. It is a great family restaurant. If you like Mexican food, then you should give Casa Jimenez a try.
