Homemade Ice Cream Pie Kitchen

I ordered a cake for my granddaughter's birthday on May 20, 2023. I didn't take it out of the box until it was time for the party, and unfortunately, the cake was very uneven and not square at all. I paid $57 for it, and it looked like it was made by a kindergartner. I reached out via email but never received a response. Last October, I had a similar experience where I had to wait for the wrong wording to be corrected. The service has been consistently disappointing, and I won’t be returning.

Since my original review was removed on March 4, 2023, my rating has dropped by one star, and I won't be returning to this restaurant. On that day, I ordered a banana split, a slice of carrot cake, and a piece of rhubarb pie. The customer service was good, and the banana split was very enjoyable. However, the carrot cake was excessively sweet for my liking, even though it was still decent. Unfortunately, the rhubarb pie was quite disappointing; it had an off-putting taste reminiscent of chemicals and mildew. It felt like I was inhaling the air of a freshly cleaned public restroom, with a strange mix of sweetness and tartness. I could only manage a single bite before I had to throw it away.

My brother-in-law suggested we stop here, and I was really pleased with my apple cake. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I was quite surprised to find that they were open at 8:00. I would definitely recommend this place!

You haven't beaten a cream on your coconut cream bee, it's just on the cake now. Seeing an employee, eating while making cakes. It won't be back.

Just about everything we've tried from here has been delicious. Some of the cakes do have a bit of artificial flavor (such as the strawberry), but the yellow cake with chocolate icing is scrumptious. The chocolate silk pie cake is also good.The pies are our favorites. We've tried the chess, double crust apple, coconut cream (my personal fave), cherry, strawberry rhubarb, and pecan. The crust is consistently delicious, as well as the filling--the apples aren't crunchy, nor the cherries too tart, the chess pie is crispy/flaky on top and moist in the middle, etc.This place is popular and busy, so we generally do takeout.
