Hosted an afternoon baby shower at Milano's. The manager Tony was extremely responsive, accommodating and willing to cater to our needs and budget. No issues with bringing in outside decor or cake. They opened the restaurant early for our party and we had the place to ourselves which was great. The back room is a nice size for a party of 20 very cozy with a nice working fireplace. The food overall is decent some choices are better than others. Fried calamari is very good. Buffalo cauliflower had too much sauce/too much vinegar. Caesar salad was a little bland. Chicken francese, penne vodka and salmon were all solid everyone seemed to like those dishes. The kids meal a hamburger w/ fries was burnt/overcooked and thus the kids did not eat it. Overall its a cozy, neighborhood spot seems popular with locals. Nice for a casual lunch or dinner. They have live music Thursday/Fridays and outdoor igloos seating.
I had such a wonderful time at this restaurant. Our server was new, but very kind and attentive. The food was delicious. To start, the three of us ordered calamari and fried goat cheese salad, followed by blackened salmon, shrimp scampi, and chicken artichoke as our entrees. Everything was hot and tasty. We ended our meal with cappuccinos. With 3 glasses of wine included, the total bill was under $150, including tip.
This restaurant is a complete disappointment. Came into town with friends for a football game to celebrate my birthday and wanted a nice, casual evening and dinner. We had a party of 6. When we arrived, the ambiance and our table seemed amazing. The restaurant was quiet with only about 12 tables inside, as no one was sitting outside due to the weather. However, things quickly went downhill. It took 35 minutes for us to receive water and an hour for our food orders to be taken. The only good part of the meal was the complimentary bruschetta and bread. After waiting for our appetizers, the waitress came back 20 minutes later to take our entree orders, which was already 2 hours into our visit. The food was bland and cold, and the only silver lining was the four $35 bottles of Josh Cab we ordered to make the experience more bearable. We were mainly disappointed because we expected a genuine Italian dining experience in this location, but this restaurant was far from it. It seemed more like a failed Mexican restaurant trying to pass itself off as Italian. The worst part of the evening was the waitress and manager. The waitress was not welcoming or knowledgeable about the menu, and even demanded a 20% tip when presenting the bill, citing a New Jersey state law. When we requested to speak to the manager about our poor experience, he was dismissive and made excuses, showing a lack of care for customer feedback. This restaurant should be avoided at all costs.
We are visiting from out of town and let me tell you, this place far exceeded expectations! The Fettuccine Alfredo was the best I’ve ever had. The wait staff was pleasant, attentive and professional. The live music makes you want to dance as well! Great place for big parties (we had 10)
