Írjon visszajelzéstThis restaurant is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is pleasant with a bar theme and private booths to enjoy your meal in peace. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. I tried the Stuffed Avocado which was served with rice, beans, and a delicious Sour Cream Sauce. It was to die for! My husband enjoyed the Combo Fajita with Sopapillas, giving it a 4 out of 5. The Sopapillas were crispy and flaky, and the homemade tortillas were fantastic. We also tried the Fried Ice Cream, which was huge and delightful. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
After receiving local recommendations for a dinner spot in Clovis, my friend and I decided to try Leal's based on its high ratings and multiple reviews. We were disappointed to find that the food was below average and lacked authenticity. The restaurant seemed to prioritize quantity and speed over quality. The quick service and overly hot plate indicated that the food may not have been freshly prepared. I ordered the Leal's Special, which was overly salty and cheesy. Despite this, I will give Leal's two stars for their tasty chips, salsa, and guacamole. Next time, we would have been better off going to Chipotle instead.
My wife ordered the fried chili relleno on top of a brisket, which was also very tasty and crispy. Our meals also came with beans, rice, chips, and salsa, which were continuously refilled throughout our meal. The ladies with us even indulged in not one, but two margaritas, which they couldn't stop raving about. Although the parking was a bit tight and the restaurant was crowded and a bit noisy due to its popularity, we still enjoyed the service, food, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend trying Leal's Mexican Restaurant if you're ever in the area.
I was recommended to try Leal's by a friend. She told me it was one of the best Mexican restaurants she had ever been to. And since I was in New Mexico, I definitely wanted to take advantage of the location and try different restaurants. I am not a fan of Mexican food unless Chipotle counts), so I wasn't sure what to expect. Leal's is a very family friend restaurant located on Prince Street. I believe there are two locations, but this one seems to be more popular. This particular location is located by the doughnut store. Lots of parking, but it can get crowded on the weekends, especially after church. They have booths and tables, but also a bar area where you can order drinks. We sat at the bar and were automatically served complimentary chips and dip. Salsa was not too spicy it was a nice way to start the meal. I ended up ordering the Chile Verde con Carne $8.39) that came with pork meat and green chile, salad, beans, rice, and some corn tortillas. I guess I can see why people like the authenticity of the food. It's definitely pretty authentic, and you get a pretty big portion for a relatively cheap price. Nothing special about the beans, rice, or salad, but I liked the tortillas. I ended up just dipping the tortillas in the beans. I wasn't a fan of the green chile sauce, however. I don't think I'm used to the taste, so I wasn't a big fan. My friends ordered the Leal's Special and some other dish; I think they agreed with me that it was good, but not something we would ever crave or want to try again. They have daily specials that come with drinks. The workers were really friendly, considering we were at the bar and didn't order any drinks. tl;dr I would say just a relatively good restaurant in Clovis. Not my type of food, but what I did try, it was not too bad. Prices are also fairly cheap.
Here I am on the search for the best Chile relleno in town, and I come across Leal's. I ordered the crispy relleno with beans and rice. It's probably the most unique one I have had as it's as if it is chicken fried. Nevertheless it was tasty and I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant overall was friendly and quick. Chips and salsa with free refills are given. They also have some bomb horchata. It looks like a great family friendly spot. We will be back. Thanks!
