Pawley's Raw - Coastal South Carolina

Amazing food. Recommend the Shrimp and Grits, and Blackened Grouper Tacos. Oyster shooter was great. The hostess and wait staff are awesome. I hope to get back before my vacation ends. If you are at least within an hour drive, definitely makePawley's Raw Bar one of your dining experiences.

My first time here and will not be my last! I ordered the flounder po boy with pommes and Slav and give him five stars! the waiting staff was friendly and excellent. recently we have eaten here and the oyster plate make them omg good!

I give it 3 stars simply because Pre-Covid this place was a great place to din. I'm not sure what happened, but this time we were very disappointed at our meal. At first 5 people stood around the hostess, but we had to wait for a table, because we had only 4 people and they didn't want to waste their 6 tables. we wanted to sit in the air conditioning, but they tried to put us in the covered terrace with only one floor fan. if it's 100 degrees outside, a ventilator on the floor is not enough. our waitress was either not experienced or unfamiliar enough with the menu, as she could not make a good recommendation when asking to some of the escaped. sweeter tee was not sweet at all, we had to ask for fillings, because our waitress has never returned to check us for our order. both combo tablets cooked well, but had no taste. the garnels had no seasoning, the scallops tasted good, but the crab cake was full of so much dishes that it was unusable. the crooked afteros were simply cheese sauce on afteros and no crumb taste at all. we finally flew our waitress to get our bill, as she didn't come back to check us out. I'm in the regular a big tipper, but this time I just couldn't justify it, because our service was badly missing. note: I mentioned the dishes in the crab cake as fyi, but they did not ask to take it off the bill. the waitress kidnapped 5 for the crabcake, although this was nice as we travel a lot to pawley, I hope they work out some of their problems as we really enjoy this place.

Service...2....waitress was not interested in being there. Calamari was way too over cooked. Flounder was good, bacon wrapped scallops good...system went off line...cash only....after we had ordered. Cold water oysters was the saving grace.
