After taking a long walk on the beach, we decided to stop in for a drink. We were greeted with a smile by a very friendly staff. My two children had a great time in the outdoor play area while my mom and I enjoyed our drinks in the October sun! This was our first visit while on vacation in Mersea, but we definitely plan on returning to stay in their attractive bedrooms and try some of their delicious food. Everything we saw looked fantastic! Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

The pub is in a great location, but it was packed with people on a Friday night and they stopped serving drinks early at 9 PM. The pub was dirty, the food was expensive, and the staff seemed unmotivated. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate the rooms a 2, the service a 3, and the location a 5.
