Great Blue Heron - Cold Spring

We were married in autumn 2020 in the Great Blue Heron and that was no easy time for everything, but you would never know! Chrissy and Nic were absolutely fabulous from the day we booked and through the entire wedding experience. They recently redesigned the banquet room, making it a real hidden jewel. The food was fabulous, we got endless compliments, how smooth the whole day was.

We had a wedding in Paynesville, MN in August 2021 and Great Blue Heron food catered, they were phenomenal! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, everyone raved about it at our wedding. We went with one meal for all: Parmesan encrusted chicken (recommended to us by the chef), gouda potatoes, prince edwards veggies, and a summer strawberry salad. Everything was perfect. I could not have asked for better catered food at our wedding for a better price, and excellent communication throughout. We highly recommend them for any event!

Friendly waiting staff. Food was good and didn't take long to receive. It took a while to sit down. The host helped someone, but there were others who did not seem to be busy, who might have been able to put us, or at least have recognized us.

We had our wedding catered at the Barn at Stoney Hills in Cushing, MN by Paul the Blue Heron staff this past weekend and I couldn't have better things to say about the food and service. The whole experience of working and with Paul from start to finish was outstanding and I would highly recommend them to cater your wedding! The dinner and appetizer menu features many different and unique options and Paul worked with us to do small customizations to fit perfectly together. Noah and I were able to do a tasting last year during the planning process which was really helpful. We also had an addition of 9 family members who hadn't RSVPd (yikes! , and Paul was kind enough to add 9 additional meals week of. He checked in often in the weeks leading up to the wedding and I never had one ounce of worry leading into the evening which I was very thankful for. The whole team was so professional smiling faces throughout the whole evening, prompt clean up, and our family had nothing but wonderful reviews of the food. So thankful to the Great Blue Heron and 100% give a 5/5 start review!

I went with my father to Great Blue Heron to try the Pasta Bar night. I was happy with my meal at Blue Heron. The Pasta Bar had many options to choose from and they have several great appetizers. The staff is friendly and attentive. I'd say the atmosphere is a little dated, but it wasn't unpleasant to be in. Overall had a good night at the Great Blue Heron.
