Layne's Of College Station

I was really looking forward to having laien for the first time in years, but I found a blonde hair in my food, and I have black hair. Everything tasted different compared to my last visit. Do they not wear hairnets?

The fried chicken here is consistently excellent—delicate and crispy, with a buttery roast flavor. Their amazing pepper sauce really complements the dish. Personally, I prefer Cane's, but these are quite similar.

Layne's of College Station, the original chicken joint, is still my favorite in the entire Bryan/College Station area. Be sure to try the club sandwich; it comes with speck!

Beautiful thick texas toast, crispy-outside juicy-inside tendies, hot basket of fries, and the sauce. sweet tee to stay cool.

Stopped of at Layne 's while is CS and reminded again how much better Layne 's is than that other chicken place with the knock-off sauce. The other place might be 'one love but Layne 's was and will always be my first love. Also, how has this building not changed on 20 years?
