P74: The Downtown Paninos

So it's been a minute since I checked a restaurant and it's because most people don't deserve a review. This place was excellent, the service was a bit slow but honest when you were on a work lunch, that's okay. I have a calzone and omfg, it was perfect. The dough was soft, but not dry or burned. The fillings were balanced, not too much cheese not too much meat. The staff was nice, maybe a bit dry in humor, but what can you expect today. Total good job crew! You will get my repetition

This was my High School and College go to place in the late seventies and early eighties. Name has changed and the place is bigger. Still owned by the same family. It's refreshing to see a local family restaurant still providing excellent food, service, and ambience after so many years.

Was in need of some good ol' spaghetti dinner and I would say the best red gravy I've found in Colorado Springs so far!! The staff is very kind and helpful and makes you feel right at home yet an important guest who's come for dinner. As a local spot I highly recommend anything on their menu. You will be pleased. Great service, atmosphere, clean, and food with a great verity to choose from. The are famous for their sandwiches. Their Spaghetti with sausage is awesome. Come by a try for yourself. They have 3 locations to choose from.

Every part of our experience was top shelf. The brussel sprouts were absolute heaven. The prime rib was a very generous portion which was cooked perfectly medium the way I ordered. So much food for the money! Our server, Amber, was very attentive and took great care of us. We went on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. Food came out fast as well. Can’t wait to come back and try something else
