Írjon visszajelzéstThe food was good, though on the pricier side, which we anticipated. We ordered the pumpkin seed-crusted trout, chicken Marsala, and deviled egg mini-bagels. All the dishes were tasty, but the portion of chicken left my wife feeling a bit hungry. She particularly enjoyed the Water Moccasin cocktail, while I liked the Porch Pounder. However, the drinks were quite expensive at $14 for just a 4-ounce glass. Overall, it feels like a special occasion restaurant. We hope they can resolve their staffing issues so that future outings can be even more enjoyable.
Our server on the upper level was incredibly hardworking and did a fantastic job! However, the food for dinner was somewhat disappointing. Although the menu options appeared unique and enticing, they didn't quite live up to expectations. The shrimp and grits were underwhelming. On a positive note, the sweet potato waffle paired with the pecan chicken was absolutely delicious! The homemade icing on the carrot cake was tasty as well, but the cake itself was cold and lacked flavor. Nothing really compelled me to want to return, except for the intriguing review I read about the brunch menu, especially the Cuban dish. The place was quite empty for a Friday night, so I don't think reservations are necessary.
The restaurant offers shared parking for the entire square and accepts both cash and card payments. The main dining area is located downstairs, while there's a trendy upstairs bar that features some patio seating. The menu is straightforward yet diverse, catering to a variety of tastes. I opted for the lamb burger, while the others in my group enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious, and it’s great to discover a place that serves tasty collard greens, even if they were a touch salty! The ambiance is chic, simple, and appealing, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refined Southern dining experience!
Bryant and his team are truly fantastic! The food is nothing short of amazing! I had a craving for a dish that wasn't on the menu tonight, and Bryant went out of his way to ensure that Brian and I got exactly what we wanted. I've never experienced a restaurant where the chef prepared something off the menu like that. Our meal was even more delicious than I remembered, which is saying a lot. The Wicked Hen is definitely the best restaurant in Columbus, no doubt about it.
What a fantastic place! After returning to Fort Benning after ten years, we're so glad we discovered this restaurant! We plan to make it a regular dinner spot, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
