Mish Mar - Colva

I recently returned from a fantastic trip to Goa where I stayed with the owners of Mish-Mar, the lovely couple Camilo and Mala. We were treated to delicious meals three times a day from their hut, and every dish was amazing. From the masala papads to the tiger prawns, everything was outstanding. The location was beautiful and provided the perfect relaxation and rest that we needed. I highly recommend this place!

The restaurant has a simple yet pleasant setting, but lacks some items on the menu that are more in line with Goan cuisine. It leans more towards North Indian cuisine, which may not appeal to all customers. The chefs' skills are not as refined as other restaurants along the beach. Despite their efforts, they are not able to offer enough Goan specialty dishes.

My experience at Mish-Mar was truly wonderful. The owners are very attentive and the take-out service is excellent. The tandoori dishes, especially the seafood, were delicious. The location is great as well. The staff really goes above and beyond to take care of their guests. Mish-Mar is a well-managed restaurant that is a must-visit in South Goa.

Our food was only just ok, I asked for a masala omlette, which was the most boring omlette I have had in Goa, just some masala spice nothing else, not much flavour. The Golden Fry Prawns had much to much batter, really very thick, on small prawns. The chicken soup my husband had was a large portion and was ok, but not what you would classify as good. The place was busy, the prices were high and we were inundated with sellers. We did not and will not bother to go back there.

Another beach shack serving good and local seafood. Reasonably priced good place to spend the evening.
