Írjon visszajelzéstThe J P Bar Grill is the type Burgerplatz for which you would like to have a Drive-Thru window, but I'm glad they don't. I have the Devilsburg with regular frits and a sweet tea for children. The burger of the devil was really good, with smoked jalapeno, melted pepper Jack cheese, and a Jalapeno cilantro Mayo. Nothing really diabolical about my burger, except the name. I thought the Jalapeno cilantro Mayo needed only a little, or maybe it was overpowered by the cut pimples, I'm not sure. My Ciabatta bung fell from the burger's fleshy, cheesy fatness, but that didn't stop me from ending what I went to J P. The frits were fresh cut homestyle shoes, with a salt spray they were great tasting, but a little soggy. The sweet tea was perfect, not painfully sweet, simply cool and refreshing on a warm Saturday afternoon. The waitress was friendly and managed everything well with 6 or so tables from Diners when I visited. Driving through this part of Texas many times and seeing the J P from the highway, it is definitely easy to miss. If you are on the go or have a taste for the concoction called Burger, it is worth stopping at J P. Good food, good service and much better than the fast food thing that is lost in your car and never forms.
Chill, order the heart attack burger and breaded mushrooms. Have a Lone Star and experience true old time Texas!
The picture on google maps is sort of correct, but now there is no sign in front. Google Maps said it was open, but it was closed! :
For some reason I thought that the J&P had closed but we saw it was open and though we weren 't quite ready to stop we did and glad we did. It is just as good as we remembered from our last stop. Food was good and portions were more than we needed so we took to go boxes. Chicken fried steak fingers were the real deal. Each piece definitely sliced from a piece of round steak. The gravy had a bit of a different taste than many places (think DQ). Sort of in the middle of nowhere so if you want to stop at a regular mealtime you may need to do a little planning.
I am a Texas Trooper and was working the Comstock area. For sometime I’ve heard of people talking about a restaurant in Comstock that had the most excellent food. I have nothing but great things to say about J and P Grill. The wait staff was friendly, the food was great, the food came out fast and the townspeople were very accommodating. This is an amazing restaurant and an exceptional community! God Bless! Worth the stop. The hotel is also very clean, freshly remodeled, and the staff was professional.
