Nagano Japanese Restaurant - Conover

My late solo dinner was pleasant. I was greeted and immediately converted to a clean stand. The server was attentive and even brief, but patient for me to quickly read the menu and place my lunch order. The seaweed salad was cool, fresh, crispy and tasteful. It soon followed a baked salmon that was served at the perfect temperature: very warm but not too hot. It was kept on top of crispy, but boiled broccoli, which kept the salmon hot during the meal. The brown rice was also served hot and was just a bit too easy to eat with chipsticks my choice for Asian foods) but it was possible. I asked about hot tea with my meal and it was served a minute before the seaweed salad. It was strong green tea, in fact so strong that I wondered if coffee was served by mistakes. I enjoyed the tea very much because he supplemented the meal and it was hot it was cold outside) and rather smooth not bitter) despite its strength. The price calculated $21.49 less tip) was quite fair in view of the high quality of the meal, the comfort of seating, the ambience and attentive service.

The food was fantastic. I had the vegetable tempura and the Yakitori Steak. Service was fine, but since lunch we had to wait for refills, but that was okay.

My husband loves this place, the chicken Teriyaki. I love this place and one of the few who don't make me sick. Recommend Sushi 10/10. Newton Conover, Mango One is so good.

The food is the absolute best Japanese around. Won't go anywhere else. They have a large selection as well!! Server was AMAZING!!
