The girl at the drive-thru window doesn't seem suited for customer service. When I approached the speaker, her response was very abrupt. I ordered a single potato, and after a long pause, she just said, "What?" The rest of my order was met with one-word replies and felt rushed. As someone who works in customer service myself, I don't expect overly friendly interactions, but a simple "hi" would have been nice. That said, the food was good as always.

I absolutely love Pappas and have been there countless times. It's amusing to read some of the comments, as it seems that if people aren't complaining about the staff, they're simply expressing their dislike for barbecue. Every dish I've tried comes out nearly perfect, and if it’s not sauced to my preference, I can easily add more sauce or anything else I need. Whenever I sit down to eat, I feel comfortable and welcomed. It's such a relaxing experience.

I ordered a half chicken plate, but unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked. The manager on duty, Ingrid, quickly pointed out that I had eaten half of it. I explained that the portion I consumed was the properly cooked part. Showing her the very pink thigh meat, which had visible veins, didn’t lead her to take any action. When I asked to speak with the general manager, she told me he was on retreat. I requested his name so I could follow up with him later, but she outright refused to provide that information. I also asked for the owner’s name, and she said she couldn’t share that either. Moreover, she instructed the employee next to her to be quiet when he was trying to explain what may have happened with the chicken. I expressed my disappointment with her handling of the situation, explaining that I was giving her a chance to resolve this, but she did nothing. Additionally, the condiment station was unclean; the BBQ sauce bottles were dirty, and there were gnats flying around the area.

This has undoubtedly been the best meal I've had in weeks while traveling across the U.S. The food was absolutely amazing, and for the first time in Texas, I experienced top-notch customer service. The guy who took my order was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and made some great suggestions. The quality and quantity of the food is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to come back a few more times before I leave. Thank you!
