Being a business owner, I feel strongly about supporting other businesses. I have never believed in leaving bad reviews for any business even if service or food is bad. People will find out on their own. everyone has a bad day and nothing is perfect. And times are tough. People are trying to feed their families and get through these difficult times. But this is the only time I felt this review was necessary. I ordered a Chile Relleno meal that was so microwaved that the styrofoam box lid melted so bad that it shrunk an inch and half back from the bottom portion. The female working the front desk handed it to me that way, and as I walked out to my car the liquids spilled out of the container. That’s when I noticed that the lid was melted. I went back in to get a new container. Took it home and took a few bites and couldn’t finish the meal. Had to throw it away. And go back to get a refund. I could see that the lady was annoyed at me, she gave me the money but seemed upset that I didn’t bring the meal back with me. My bad, I should’ve. Even though I already told her on the phone that I threw it away. I didn’t know I was suppose to return the partially eaten meal. She saw the box how badly it had melted. I mentioned how soggy the poblano pepper was and the breading. She proceeded to tell me that after I brought it back in to get a new container they had to deep fry the same chili relleno again before putting it in the néw container. Even though I only waited a couple of minutes? Huh??? So even though they already poured all the Ranchero sauce all over the chili Reno and the lettuce (which was also soggy), they deep fried that with the sauce on it? Really? I don’t think so. The breading was so mushy that everything turned into a soup. And the poblano pepper was soggy and mushy. Over cooked because it was microwaved too long after being deep fried once. She said they have to microwave it to melt the cheese. No you don’t. Not if it’s done in the deep fryer twice like she claims they did. So I’m not blaming her, but she saw how bad the box was melted which means the food is going to be no good. Plus it’s very toxic to the food when the foam melts. What upsets me more is that it seemed like no one cared how bad it was. They were going to give it to me the way it was anyway. Even Knowing the box couldn’t close because it was melted. There’s no way she didn’t see that. The last thing to go into a to go box is the tortillas. So she didn’t care what the product was like. I would’ve given them a second chance. But I was treated poorly for wanting my money back for badly prepared food. I want this business to succeed. I want people to go eat there if they love it. I’mNot trying to hurt this business. I was very polite to her and thanked her and told her to have a nice day. Even though i was given nothing but excuses and treated dismissively. Do you want people to come back or not? I hope by having to tell this story that it will inspire the owners to make sure that their cooks and help are diligent in putting out only quality food and service. I only wish you the best.
