Buns N Beds - Cooke City-Silver Gate

The owner was lovely and the food was excellent! Upon entering, we could smell the grill and were immediately drawn to the BBQ special of the day. The menu mainly consists of sandwiches and chili. We began with a bowl of chili which was delicious- just the right amount of spice and filled with meat and beans. Both of us ordered the hamburger special with chips, which was very tasty and served by the friendly owner. This is not a fancy restaurant; it is a cozy cafe located outside the NE Gate of Yellowstone. You can also get food to take away for a picnic!

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake. I make sure to stop by this restaurant every time I pass through Cooke City, as their BBQ is not to be missed.

I visited this restaurant while visiting my son for Thanksgiving. Jan and Leo were incredibly welcoming and lovely. David, Chad, and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with them and had a great time. The restaurant was delightful, we had coffee and played a board game. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to visit again this summer. Jan and Leo, we love you!

The restaurant is too expensive for the quality of food. We ordered the special, which was two tiny slices of brisket on a hot dog bun, a small portion of beans, and the broken pieces of chips at the bottom of the bag. The paper water cups were dirty on the outside and the two female employees working seemed to be constantly complaining about everything going wrong.

The potato salad was worth the drive from Texas ... Secret recipes are always the best! We had the ribs, and a grilled-outside-on-the-deck-hamburger and they were both outstanding! Very friendly server, she had the best recommendations and was helpful with us and everything we needed. Food served homemade and fast! Would go back in a heart beat!!Ohhh! And The Huckleberry Shake!! Get one! It was the best!!!
