Mauricio's Italian - Cookeville

My wife and I have dined at Mauricio's several times over the 15 years we've lived in Cookeville. The food is excellent, and the service has always been great. While it's not the best Italian restaurant I've been to, my wife loves it. We typically spend no less than $100 per meal, and on one occasion, we spent over $200. Usually, it's just the two of us, but we've also taken our children on special occasions. However, I recently encountered a policy at Mauricio's that has changed our opinion. We were informed that there is a time limit for reservations, regardless of the size of the party or the amount spent. Whether a party orders a simple salad and water or a full meal with drinks, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after-dinner drinks, they should not be given a limited amount of time to dine. Having dined at restaurants all over the United States and in other countries, I've never been told I only have a certain amount of time to eat. For this reason, we will no longer be dining at Mauricio's.

This is a great birthday/anniversary spot. Everything tastes delicious....the only thing we haven't loved was the marsala pasta dish. Everything else is 5 stars.

Hi Nice restaurant, but most dishes are pasta based. Very few choices if you are trying at avoid carbs. The lamb was excellent.

Everything was delicious! Loved the crème brûlée. Vegetarian options: I was able to get a vegetarian spaghetti with marinara sauce. Dietary restrictions: I was able to get spaghetti with marinara sauce without cheese. Also the salad is served family style and there was no cheese in it.
