Lingla Cafe Gift Shop - Copeland

This charming independent cafe, located within a church in Frizington, is a delightful spot for a meal. We made sure to book in advance, as it tends to get busy with locals. My friend, who is a regular, recommended it to me during my visit. We were served tea for two in a beautiful pot with delicate China cups and saucers. The staff happily provided us with more hot water for our pot when needed. My friend enjoyed a delicious and generously sized omelette with salad and chips, while I savored a wonderful steak pie with rich gravy, vegetables, and the best homemade chips I've ever tasted. For dessert, we indulged in crumbles and ginger cake with custard. The lively atmosphere of the cafe was a highlight for me, and I was delighted to see a local establishment thriving in the North West Lakes. This cafe is truly a hidden gem and well worth a visit.
