The Modern Cafe Brasserie - Copenhagen

For the first time in months, my wife and I finally had the opportunity to go on a date. We were very excited for some quality time together while our little one had a babysitter. Very soon though our experience was ruined by the quite insulting service we received. Originally we were sat right next to the toilets at the smallest table imaginable. When we saw two larger two seater tables open up, we asked if we could please move since we had each ordered the 7 plates meal and needed more space to dine comfortably. However, we were rudely denied saying that they had already wrote our table number on the order. First thought why not just write our new table number on the order slip to ensure our food reaches us? Keep in mind we merely wanted to move to the table next to us, one seat over) But okay, if they want to make sure the right food reaches us, that 's okay, we 'll stay. But then our food arrived, and by that time three larger two seater tables had opened up. Surely now that there 's no more opportunity for potential confusion, we can take our food and just move over? No. We were rudely denied yet again and spoken down to that we must stay exactly where we are because there 's a queue of people waiting to be seated. That was a lie. We could see the door. No people came, and the tables remained open while we struggled to eat our meal with the little space we had next to the toilets. Our first date in months was ruined, and so was the rest of our day. The experience has left such a lasting negative impact on us that we want to warn others to save your time and money and don 't go here. 600kr for 2 people to be treated that poorly .. we 've never experienced anything like it. I feel sad for the kitchen staff who have their hard work ruined by poor customer service. : Do yourself a favor and stay away.

For the second time they told us they can’t serve food as the kitchen can’t cope. This is a cafe and was less than half full. Bizarre

Had lunch on site. Really atmospheric and cozy little eatery. We tried their Egg Benedict, fried potatoes and smørrebrød with chicken salad and mushroom toast. It tasted great, but you have to be careful that their hollandaise is very acidic. But the atmosphere at the place is really cozy and like a really delicious Copenhagen café

Delicious butterbread and other food, good mood, often very neglected staff.

Immediately after arrival we were taken against a wonderful young man (long lust hair and maybe a brother named Halfdan). Then we were placed at an exquisite table. Nice covered and a comfortable lighting. We are asked about drinks and fast grab the waiter and offer us 4 beer and 8 arnbitter. What else you can request. The evening continues with this service and fantastic food. Thank you for a wonderful night.
