My Favorite Place - Cordova

Finally sat down and ate at (normally get it to go) one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The service was amazing from the time I arrived until I left. The complimentary chips/salsa was spot on and the spice level perfect! I ordered the guacamole, that?s made at your table, and the flavors were wonderful and fresh! For my main meal, I ordered off the lunch menu choose any three: 2 crispy shredded chicken tacos and 1 chicken enchilada w/red sauce. I added onions to my orderand they do charge an extra $1.50 for ALL extra items. I always enjoy the food here so I was excited to finally sit down and eat. Will DEFINITELY return!

Id like to start by saying thank you, on the border, for having such a long wait time I went to discover the best Mexican in Memphis instead. This really is my favorite place to eat. The salsa, great. Chips, Great. Got a dish with peppers, which while cooked, weren't burnt in the slightest. You can tell the food is made by someone who is passionate about it. The service is outstanding. I went twice in like three days it was that good. As a Texan, I salute the food here. Ididn't think it was possible to get that great Mexican food this far north, but I was happy to find my favorite place. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. However many stars there are, they belong here.

I am not ever going to close my mouth if I experience a bad situation but many times I forget to mention the wonderful experiences. My Favorite Place has the perfect name because when it comes to Mexican food, they far exceed others in Cordova-Memphis. Not only is the food amazing but the staff make you feel like you are part of the family. This is truly My Favorite Place!!!

I give this place 2????s because while the food was good it was absolutely overpriced for takeout. I felt as though I was being punked. They charge an 18% gratuity a surcharge for overall price hikes since the pandemic (on top of tax). Although they have a sign up at the desk but when you call in an order you obviously wont know about it unless you havecdined here before. There are plethora of other Mexican restaurants to enjoy w/o the price gouging takeout. Takeout for2 was $83 had I known I would have opted for a sit down meal at one of my fave establishments. Eat in or enjoy Mexican elsewhere. Takeout orderers be warned!!
