Shawarma Grill - Cordova

The food was fantastic! I’m eager to return. The shawarma was outstanding, and the sides were equally delicious. The service was excellent as well; the hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable.

I absolutely love this restaurant! After serving in the Middle East with the military, I've developed a real appreciation for Shawarma, and this place truly delivers on authenticity. The Shawarma portions are large, the seasoning is spot on, and they even use the right kind of pickles, which brings back a lot of memories for me. The owners are incredibly friendly, and you can tell it's a genuine family business that I'm proud to support.

My friend and I decided to eat lunch, and I must say that the buffet was really delicious and fresh, many salads too. We also have the desserts, it was just perfect. Good price. Recommended for anyone interested in a real Homie food!

However, the menu can be a bit perplexing, as it only features the names of the dishes in English and Arabic, with minimal descriptions and very few photos. If you're not familiar with the dishes, I recommend asking for help. They also have an extensive list of side dishes, covering all the usual offerings you’d expect from this type of restaurant and more. Keep in mind that they do not serve alcohol, so you'll be limited to tea or juices. After a wait of about 15 to 20 minutes, our food was served. The portions are generous, and we even had some leftovers to take home. The beef kebabs are made with filet mignon, making them very tender and flavorful; I'm not sure if you can find similar kebabs in the Memphis area. Instead of being skewered, they're beautifully arranged on a plate in a circular fashion. The tabbouleh salad is made with all fresh ingredients, and the hummus comes with warm pita bread wedges. Overall, the food is excellent and flavorful. Next time, I’ll make sure to save room for their baklava or other desserts!
