The Cotton Ball - Cork

My wife, father, and I stopped by this place for a drink after a stroll. It's a fantastic spot with a lot of atmosphere and character. We didn't have the opportunity to try the house-brewed beer, but perhaps we'll do so another time.

My boyfriend and I took a bus from the city centre to visit the Cotton Ball, as he was determined to explore all the microbreweries in Cork. Despite the freezing cold night, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful stained glass in the lobby. The first bar was cozy, with roaring fires providing much-needed warmth. Locals were gathered, watching TV, playing darts, and chatting, while a 5th anniversary party was happening in the backroom. We especially enjoyed the beers, particularly the Indian Summer and Another **** IPA. The bar staff were incredibly friendly, and we would definitely return to this hidden gem in Cork.

I recently visited this family-run pub/restaurant in the Mayfield area of Cork City. They offer a selection of homemade beers and stouts, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The music had an 80s theme, which added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The bar has a great design, with a spacious lounge in the back and a cozy front bar for chatting. Definitely worth a visit!

Lynch's Stout is better than Guiness, traditional Irish pub near to the Collins Barracks, front bar is full of interesting locals with a tale to tell.

Called in while working in Cork for a quick bite and a beer. I ordered a sweet chilli bagel, but I requested it on Ciabatta instead but when it came out it was in a sourdough roll. Sandwich was nice and done the job but it was the beers I was intrested in. I love their Another **** IPA and was hoping to get it on tap but alas none available, I did however get a flight of their other beers and they were very good. On leaving the barman who was very pleasant and knowledgeable throughout gave me a bottle of Another **** IPA gratis, he said sure its what you came in for anyway Wow, thats customer service at its best : Great wee spot with fantastic beers. Enjoy!!
