New China Restaurant - Corner Brook

Walmartに買い物に行ったので、ついでに隣にあるココで食事。カナダの標準的中華料理。つまり不味い。チャーハンはどう見ても作り置きしてあったものを温め直しているだけ。サンラータンは、タバスコを薄めたような味。なんじゃこりゃ？これで$20オーバー… 価格も高すぎです。

I was a bit shocked and I not sure if true but when served chop suey it was made with cabbage instead of bean sprouts. The waitress said that all chop suey in NFLD is made this way. I have been to St John's and do not remember this fact to call this bluff so make sure you ask before ordering your "normal" Chinese dishes in Newfoundland they might not be made as they are everywhere else in the world LOL..

We get take out here from time to time. On this particular visit we had a dinner for four and one specialty dish. The dinner for four was fresh and hot, but the specialty dish did not resemble Kung Pao Chicken. Canned corn and peas do not belong in Kung Pao Chicken, but peanuts do :). Other than that, service was fast and friendly and prices reasonable.

My two friends and I were unimpressed. The chicken fried rice did not have chicken in it, the sauce on the sweet and sour chicken was bland. There was little meat on the garlic spare ribs. You can get a meal for under $10 but this is what you'll get.

The place is small with nothing fancy inside but the food was a great price, good selection and fast, staff was friendly. I definately recomd this place if you like this kind of food. I will be returning here again soon. Its in a great location with lots of parking available. The only thing is they do not offer ice or glasses with the drinks, just the can, i can live wiyh that.
