Primrose - Corning

My family stumbled upon this gem on our way back to KS from Okoboji. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this pace is THAT good. The food was delicious and fast!

Roadtrip from Des Moines to Corning. We had heard good things and our visit did not disappoint. Fun inviting atmosphere. Excellent spirits choices. Our meals were superb. Highlighted with a great chocolate strawberry cake with homemade strawberry ice cream. Our server, Tierney, was excellent as well. Will definitely make another trip down.

I was in NYC last week and this restaurant was better than anything I had in New York. We showed up right before closing so they got us in and out fast. Only regret is we didn’t get dessert. Kids meals were very reasonably priced.

So we were in town from Kansas visiting friends. They took us here. It was so nice catching up during the 1 hour and 15 minutes it took to get our food... And we even had a reservation. My steak I ordered medium so if they over cooked it I could get my medium well. Worked out nicely. My husband order rare, and he got beef jerky, VERY well done. He barely got ½ of it down before giving up. He did tell the waitress it was easy over cooked but explained that he didn't want to send it back and have to wait another hour for a new steak. She said sorry, it's probably because there's so much good coming out of the kitchen right now. ? Ok. Overall it was just not worth the $100 for 2 adults and 2 older children to eat. No appetizer even on that bill, no alcohol, just our dinners. Disappointed

This place has gone down hill. We had a reservation and still waited over an hour for our food. The waiter said the kitchen was very busy. A hour wait for shrimp pasta and chicken marsala . The shrimp was over cooked the pasta wasn’t anything over the top. The chicken patty was similar to pressed prepackaged chicken breast and the risotto was very runny and bland.
