Wroes Ocean View Coffee Shop

Great food, friendly staff, quick service at a very busy lunch time. Nice atmosphere. Thankyou for allowing dogs.

A lovely cafe with a superb view, comfy seats and excellent portions of jam, cream, scones and tea. Staff very helpful and pleasant, and were very attentive when a child near us had an issue.

It's definitely the place for cake in Bude and a sea view, too. The cake selection is vast, and it's difficult to choose. I recommend several visits. There's also a lovely selection of meals, sandwiches, wraps, toasties jackets etc and daily specials. We visited several times and wasn't disappointed. We would highly recommend.

We had a rather disappointing visit to Wroes Cafe today. The floor was filthy, covered in food and spillages. The tables were just as bad, every empty table was covered in used plates and cups. The high chairs were disgusting and sticky. It felt unhygienic and dirty. There were also wet dogs everywhere, not everyone likes dogs. Why allow them into an indoor cafe? We left after 5 minutes and went to an alternative cafe. Sadly, we had the same experience earlier this year.

As a family we were staring in Bude for a long weekend. As typical with the British weather we had a rainy day so wondered around the town and decided to take a break in the cafe in Wroes store. With a view out to sea its a nice spot to relax. The drinks were a very reasonable price and the hot chocolate with Marshmallows, cream and a flake was amazing. Although we didn't sample the cakes they looked lovely. Well worth a visit and much nicer and with hotter drinks much better than most chain coffee shops.
