I didn’t get a chance to try the food because only a few items were halal. They also didn’t allow dine-in, as it was take-out orders only. I was really disappointed, as I had wanted to try it based on the prior good reviews. Additionally, it was difficult to find the location. I won’t be returning.
Mr. B mentioned he was craving Thai food, especially something with coconut milk. There are plenty of Thai options in Corona and the surrounding area, but the weather was nasty and rainy, so I wanted to stay close to home. The other places we’ve tried lately haven’t been as good as before, so I decided to search for something new. Ultimately, that led us to Thai Thai. The restaurant itself is small, and when we visited on a Tuesday around lunchtime, it was empty. This meant the server and kitchen were at our full disposal! However, we were quickly informed that they primarily do take-out unless we didn’t mind eating from to-go containers. Undeterred, we settled down at a table. We ordered Crab Rangoon, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp, and Red Curry with chicken to eat there, along with a Boat Noodle Soup for take-out. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the Crab Rangoon; it felt like the weak link in our meal. The filling seemed mostly like cream cheese, with only a hint of crab that was almost absent. While it was a tasty cream cheese snack, it didn’t deliver the crab flavor, so I didn’t feel it was worth the price. On the other hand, the Pad Woon Sen was delicious! This dish features fine rice noodles with vegetables and egg, and it was bursting with flavor. We received about six medium shrimp, which was perfect for the two of us. The Red Curry was a pleasant surprise, especially since Mr. B thought he had ordered Yellow Curry. (He definitely didn’t, I swear!) Their “medium” spice level was quite mild, which was a relief for someone like me who can’t handle heat well. Remarkably, the chicken was neither overcooked nor dry—this ended up being my favorite dish. Now, let’s talk about the Boat Noodle Soup that we saved for the next day. I had never heard of it before, so it was a bit of a mystery. However, I was convinced by the enticing pictures and glowing reviews from those who love it. It started with a fantastic beef broth infused with various exotic spices, including five-spice and likely some fish sauce. It came loaded with sliced beef, two beef meatballs, bean sprouts, and mint leaves. The noodles were small white rice noodles that were packaged separately. This soup leaned towards a medium spice level and was something I would definitely go back for—it was absolutely delicious. They also offer Halal options for a small additional charge. Overall, it was a great meal. My only wish is that the prices were more in line with the smaller portions of protein. I can’t wait to take the rest of my family there for a meal!
My family and I were looking for Halal restaurant in the area. First of all, you want halal chicken it is $2 extra then if beef it is $3 extra. Why can you just get Halal meat and charge the same. Then I was told, if it is fresh it is Halal, it if it marinated over night it is not. Really confusing. Basically, anything that is plain with no flavor is Halal. So when we got there, nothing is Halal. So why in the world would you post Halal Food. What is worst, nothing outside stated, order on the go only or take out order only.Sorry but no too sorry. That is the first and last time to go there. I wish I can put a negative star.
Food is amazing and delicious and good taste of food and very good place to hang out and chill
