Although you might not expect a wide variety of vegetarian options, this restaurant is famous for its Prime Rib. As part of the Lawry's family, you can trust that the quality of the meat is exceptional. On my birthday, I decided to indulge and started with the lobster bisque, which was incredibly creamy. For my main course, I ordered the Henry VIII cut of the prime rib—an impressive 20 ounces of prime meat and bone. Unfortunately, my stomach had to accommodate a souffle and a complimentary strawberry trifle for my birthday as well. By the way, the trifle was even better than the souffle, although both were delicious. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were excellent, and it wasn't overly crowded. If you're willing to spend a little extra for a memorable dining experience, Five Crowns is a fantastic choice.
If you've dined at Shaving in LA or House of Prime Rib in SF, then Five Crowns will quickly become a familiar spot for meat lovers. The prime rib is the standout dish that makes this restaurant worth visiting, as it is truly superb. The atmosphere is elegant, featuring nautical themes and a timeless, classic ambiance. The service is exceptional, just as you would expect from a place like Five Crowns. The only notable difference is that you won't find any spider salad or bland gray meat dishes here.
Excellent culinary experience and service here at Five Crowns. The ambience was beautiful and comfortable. You will definitely want to stay for a while. We decided to have dinner for two special they had- the included a crab cake appetizer, spring salad, Prime Rib (you can also choose salmon or a risotto, and hot Fudge Sundae. We were able to get potatoes as our side instead of creamy spinach or corn. The only reason I took a star is that their potatoes were not so good compared to the excellent quality of everything we received. I loved salad, crab cake, free bread and butter, prime rib and ice cream. My husband also had the Russian river valley Pinot Noir and the cocktail with smoke (I think it included the words "red sky" and "sailor". I had both drinks and they were very good. The sun I think was my favorite part of the meal. At first I thought it wasn't special because it wasn't the chocolate soufflé. But the way they served it with the hot fudge on the side... it was delicious and anything but ordinary. I'd come back literally, just for this sunset and a drink.
We had a nice private room up stairs. Kacey provided excellent service for our party of 13. She even took pictures of us on the patio after. Everyone in the restaurant were super friendly. The Prime Rib and creamed corn are fantastic!
The food is Amazing as always. Had the Crown cut with the side of cream corn and the mash potatoes. Excellent!!!
