Albaca - Coronado

I loved the food I got here. The chocolate dessert was easily the most creative dessert I’ve had in any vegan or non vegan resto. Super expensive, but the vegan choices are among the cheapest on the menu. Considering there are almost no good vegan options on the island, this is worth visiting.

Christmas day. Not too busy. The young lady at the desk was pretty rude. We were ignored at the table until I flag someone. The food came pretty fast, which was good. And hot. The bagel, the lax cream cheese was good. We also ordered the egg white Omelet rain breakfast. All decent. We live here, so I know we are treated like a tourist. But we want to return and enjoy it. Try it again.

The weather and view were perfect for our Thanksgiving Day celebration.

Calamari was fantastic with a decadent sauce to pair. Flatbread was overly cheesy with little prosciutto or fig jam per bite, although it was large enough to be shared by two. Would not order again. Shrimp pasta had a nice sauce, with pasta cooked al dente. Three large shrimp on top were slightly over cooked, but overall an enjoyable dish. Would order again. The ALBACA brumble was spirit forward in an off-putting way. Even letting the drink mellow over the meal didn't tame the edge. The Not Your Father's Latte was also spirit forward with no coffee or sweetness detected. I didn't try any simple cocktails but their menu cocktails left much to be desired.

Food very slow to supply, but very good. Waiter good, look good. Drink very well.
