Delicious food, super friendly service. Coffee kept coming along with the smiles. Ordered Polish sausage grilled with onions and peppers with eggs and home fries and enjoyed it so much I ordered it again on our second visit. Hubby thought he saw SeafoodBenedict on the menu so on second visit he ordered it and it was actually Seafood omelette but they made it as Benedict for him.How accommodating is that? Cortez Cafe is on our must visit list whenever we visit Anna Maria Island in the future.
This is one of my favorite place. Everybody there was friendly. The service was awesome the food delicious, the price we're fair. I just love it. I fully recommended this place.
This is by far the best breakfast in town. We're regulars and have always had great meals and the atmosphere and people are wonderful. Old school Florida at it's finest!
Doesn't look like much but getting fresh locally caught seafood was all the draw I needed. We go a long of shrimp I've never seen before. Turned out all but two were females with eggs (which made them very easy to clean) to which I did a simple andclassic Cajun seasoned boil. My wife and son both said they were the best shrimp they've have either at home or in a restaurant.Texture and taste were awesome! Oddly enough, they stained the plastic colander when I drained them. Then I got a yellow finsnapper which I prepared simply as well, stuff with lemon, parsley and dill, wrapped in parchment paper and baked. Dressed itwith a sauce of lemon juice, garlic, red onion, olive oil, unsalted butter, fresh parsley and dill. Despite some very realinitial reticence, even my teen boys who were completely poor off by the attached head and eyes, both said it was great, as didmy wife. Very happy with how it all turned out
