Cafe Rose Express - Costa Mesa

I wanted to correct my review!!! This place is fantastic!!! I'll go back almost daily!!! It is difficult to find a place where you feel as comfortable as going home, this review is unrequired and it is completely sincere. I didn't take a free lunch or was compensated in any way. A fantastic place!!! 90 percent of the time my visits to this facility are excellent, which is why I do not want to spend the money. But today was probably my last visit for a long time. I had the weekly cooking special, the braided short ribs, Parmesan broccoli and potatoes potatoes. I've also added a Danish to treat myself to a little treat. But the short rib was dry and hard to eat. That was extremely unusual when I visited the meat every other time, was always so tender. The service is always very friendly, no exception today it was as friendly as it is usually, but the food did not meet the usual standards.

Really good salads. I had the Greek and a side of pineapple coleslaw. Nice outdoor seating, good portions. Definitely found a new lunch spot.

Really good food! Minimal selection of food items which doesn't impact anything. Very hospitable, and very respectful. Would recommend going there any chance you get.

Food was good and the prices are about average when it comes to a sit down place. What I didn't like and this was probably just me, when I asked to add an extra protein to my salad, the cashier taking the order didn't understand that I wanted beef added to my chicken salad, I tried to explain this in 3 different ways, but at the end she substituted the chicken for beef, but still it was very tasty.

This place is amazing and looks like people are starting to find out. I used to go here for lunch a lot. Recently, the lunch rush has been extremely crowded. They have daily specials that are soooo good. My favorite is the chicken noodle soup. Very flavorful and they are able to keep the tortillas strips really crunchy while the bowl is steaming hot.
