El Campeon Carniceria - Costa Mesa

The meat is incredibly tasty! Make sure to try the tacos de birria and sopes de carnitas; they are generously filled with meat. The homemade tortillas are a must-try too. Their salsas are flavorful, though not overly spicy. The location itself is quite small, and it also doubles as a store with a great selection of Mexican products. The staff is very friendly and patient.

You could easily spend hundreds of dollars here each month, but they make a big deal about charging extra for a small salsa container if you want more than two with a combo plate. They seem willing to lose customers over just a little extra salsa. Shaking my head.

Make sure to have Google Translate handy or know some basic Spanish. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the fresh food is excellent. Food: 5/5

This restaurant serves delicious Mexican food, including some incredibly tasty tortas and tacos. They also have a special on Mondays with caldo de res, which I highly recommend. I would rate this place a perfect 5/5 for the food!

Best burrito in Orange county hands down. The food is amazing. Great market as well. It's my bad but If I spoke better Spanish I'd do better ordering, they got bilingual people there so you can navigate pretty easy.Food: 5/5
