Umami Burger Costa Mesa

We returned to the restaurant expecting 100% grass-fed burgers, but were disappointed to find that they are now grain-fed. Additionally, we ordered our burgers well-done but received them very raw in the middle. It took a long time to get a cooked burger, causing everyone in our group of 8 to finish eating before the well-done burger arrived. The atmosphere was also very noisy and lacked energy. On a positive note, our waiter was courteous.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a wide selection to suit everyone's tastes but not so overwhelming that it becomes difficult to choose. The menu is well executed and impressive. However, it's worth noting that the portions are generous and may leave you feeling full after enjoying a burger and some fries or onion rings.

We came back because we thought there were 100% grass fed burgers. disappointed to find them, are now fed pasture fed ready. also ordered well made and received very raw in middle meat. it took a long time to get a boiled burger, all the others in our party of 8 was done eating when the good-done burger finally came to us. also very noisy not energetic. our waiter was friendly.

Eating is wonderful to choose a large enough sort for everyone, but not so much variety that it is overwhelming! very well made menu, very impressed. will say that eating is hard and fill them on a burger and some fries / wobbles rings.

Our waiter was wonderful, very attentive and pleasant. They don 't make it clear that every item on the menu is separate so when you order a sandwich and a side those are all charged for. Kind of a surprise when the check came. VERY LOUD MUSIC, made it tough to hold a conversation so maybe not a great date place. Communal seating so you may be at a picnic table with bench seating (with no backs to the chairs), so not very comfortable. Meal was amazing though, the veggie burgers are incredible and the tots were to die for.
