Írjon visszajelzéstI frequent this establishment often for business meetings and meals. I visited in August for a one-on-one business meeting and ended up spending a couple of hours enjoying coffee, brunch, and more coffee. The staff is extremely friendly, although not always attentive. However, the food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the coffee is excellent.
The restaurant has a nice view if you're by the windows. The service is okay, with friendly and cheerful staff. There is a small variety of cakes, and slightly more filling food options are available until 3pm. The cafe itself appears a bit worn, with scruffy floors, metal tables, and uncomfortable seating. It used to be a welcoming place with a wider selection of cakes and treats, but it doesn't seem the same anymore. The surrounding area looks like a rundown seaside resort, with untidy surroundings and little thought put into the layout of the different outlets. It's a shame that this place is no longer one of the local favorites.
The Gateway has undergone a remarkable transformation for the better. The food is consistently fresh and expertly prepared, especially the pizzas. The addition of the outdoor bar and Bedouin tent has been a welcome touch.
We arrived to a very busy cafe and placed our orders. Whilst waiting for the order we read the latest reviews on Facebook and discussed doing a runner as they were so negative. When the coffee arrived it was the best cappuccino l have had...since being in the uk. The food arrived shortly afterwards which too was great. Lovely outlook and service was good too.
Called in for a family lunch unfortunately at a busy period, the location and the building is superb but the food was truly awful, burgers like shoe leather served in still frozen buns. The staff had a complete laissez-faire attitude to service even when we...asked for unfrozen buns. Such a pity as it could be fantastic, but it's not.
