Carmine's Utah - Cottonwood Heights

Lovely ambiance, modern and clean. My wife’s penne was great, my steak was pretty good, not prime but about what I would expect for any restaurant not advertising as a steakhouse. However my carbonara was awful, scrambled eggs and noodles. I sent it back and would have been fine just calling it done at this point, the steak and bread were pretty filling. They wanted to try again, but the server said before giving me the new plate, “if you don’t like this then carbonara is not for you”. Again it was scrambled eggs. Carbonara is my favorite dish, I’m aware of how’s it made and I know what it looks like when you ruin the egg. I put it the dish to the side. Again at this point I was ready to call it square pay the bill and leave. The server (who at this point we were not thrilled with after 10 minutes of our wine glasses being empty) then decided to lecture us as to how some people don’t like some kinds of food and my wife list her cool, and told the server that we just want to leave. The server left and did take the food off the bill, fine we didn’t ask for that, but fine. Don’t think we will be going back.

Eating is delicious. if they are looking for an intimate meeting, this is the place fabian visited my needs. the evening view was an outstanding touch.

Great place to eat. The food is full of flavor. And the atmosphere is pleasant although it was a bit noisy. I?d still recommend this place! My meal was excellent!

I?m a regular. For the best experience, dine in. The authentic Italian pizza is to die for, my favorite is the Carmine?s pizza and the capricciosa. The pastas are amazing too, my favorite is the chef pasta and this beauty pictured here, fettuccine allo Scoglio with marinara sauce. Ps. Try the steamed mussels ??

Definitely some of the best service I?ve ever had! Our server Fabian was one step ahead of us and knew exactly what we needed before we even got around to asking for it. My daughter ordered a Margarita pizza (which was delicious) and I ordered the gnocchi which was beautifully presented. Just a heads up?portions are on the smaller side and our dessert cakes faired a little on the drier side.
