Kinaree Thai - Courtenay

We were hoping to enjoy our meal, but unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. The peanut sauce was thin and lacked any actual peanut flavor. The entire dish tasted like leftover Chinese food with soggy vegetables and canned mushrooms. The service was fine, but we have no plans to return. Disappointing.

The restaurant was great – the food was delicious and came out quickly. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. It was like the chef read my mind because the blackened prawn vegetables and chef's noodles were exactly what I was craving. The chicken satay was amazing and I highly recommend trying the Change beer, especially on a hot day.

I visited this restaurant while in Vancouver and it appears to be family owned and operated. You can tell that a lot of love and care goes into the food. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! I highly recommend it. They have great vegetarian options, including tofu. The parking lot is small but sufficient.

The owner is very personable and always remembers my order. The food is top notch. Some foods are spicy so ask if it can be mild or not.

Amazing food, we ordered the Pad Thai and we were completely satisfied. We will be back
