Brilliant service from Loz. Great food had a pie and chips. Very nice. Wife had fish and chips. Lovely. Good choice of lagers.

We popped down for a quick bite to eat on a Thursday night, we didn't have a reservation, so we ate in the bar area, which was fine. Ordered from the bar after a short wait for staff, friendly service, but the actual bar counter covered in liquid, needed a good clean. Drank our half of lemon and lime and pint of bitter shandy as we waited a good 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive. When it did it was OK at best. The lamb from the Duo of Lamb was not a great cut and lukewarm, shepherds pie was nice but not enough for the dish to feel it was worth the £25.95, Buttermilk Chicken was as you woukd expect but slightly overdone. We didn't mention niggles because others nearby had cold food arrive and then had a wait for this to be sorted. We really wanted to love it as on our doorstep, but left feeling £49.90 was excessive for what we had. Hopefully these are just teething problems, and the team needs more time to gel.

Went here for a Sunday roast, great food and fantastic service throughout from Gina, will be bringing the family here again
