Elea J’s Southern Table - Covington

Now onto the food! I was happy to find this gem in Covington. The fish was fried perfectly, although I prefer it a bit crispier (I didn't ask for it that way). I would give it an 8.5/10, and I am quite picky as I am a chef myself. The greens and black eyed peas were also delicious, with a great texture and flavor. I would rate them a 7.8/10. The only thing they could use is a bit more salt in the black eyed peas. The staff were friendly and patient with me on the phone, answering all of my questions. The overall customer service was good. The decor of the restaurant was also aesthetically pleasing. I truly enjoyed my experience here. Much love.

I loved the fried chicken, hoppin john, sweet tea, and sweet potato pie at this restaurant.

I was very disappointed to find out that despite the Internet indicating that this place was open, it was actually closed when I arrived. Our time is precious and this misinformation was frustrating.

Great food. Best southern cooking around. Country fried steak and fried shrimp are my favorites. My wife loves the fried pork chops. Greens are a winner. Staff are very pleasant and are always working hard to get food to you in a timely fashion. Definitely a welcome addition to the Covington food scene.

I 've been following her since they were in Conyers. Food is consistently good!! Better than anything in the area that professes to be home cooking hands down!! And reasonably priced!
