Sushi Rang - Cranbrook

Last autumn, my husband and I went on a brief weekend getaway for a family event and decided to stop at this restaurant for a quick lunch before continuing our journey. We haven't stopped talking about it since and can't wait to come back to the area. The sushi is always fresh and absolutely delicious! There is a wide selection to choose from and the staff is always fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Return visit to Sushi Rang rang the bell. Great miso soup, with a deep broth -- although a bit stingy on the greens. Nice and meaty pork gyoza, followed by a chicken katsu bento whose strength was in the copious fresh tempura , an excellent salad and decent chicken. Tons of food, making for great value. Plus, after an egg appeared on my wife's dish (who has an egg allergy), the chef whipped up a replacement dish right away. Great service; probably the best eatery for sushi in east Kootenay.

The food was amazing, the service was excellent! We were very kindly greeted at the door by I believe the owner or manager and taken to a comfortable booth, there were convenient hooks for our jackets on the dividing wall. The chef was very talented and the server was sweet. We enjoyed our time their for dinner very much, especially the fresh and tasty food. I also noticed how kind the owners were to the staff, not something you always see in a restaurant. I overheard the owners encouraging our waitress and I thought that was really nice. It was very professional and tastefully decorated, the menu options were fantastic and I loved how the menu had photos of everything. I highly recommend this sushi restaurant in Cranbrook.

I'm a big sashimi fan, the fish was very fresh and that is what count! Well prepared, quick service. Would definitely go back.

Cranbrook is not a likely destination for sushi, but they do a good job here. I ate a roll combo with miso soup that did justice to the genre but was not a standout by Vancouver standards. BUT- better than I thought it would be.Nice Korean waitress who was pretty green, and the trio of chefs were indifferent to the clientele, implacably focussed on cutting fish....They put together a very silly green tea ice cream parfait, which was more suited to DQ, but three scoops plus chocolate and nuts. Hilarious, and I ate it to the ground.They get 3.5 stars.
