Maxine's - Crawfordsville

Best lunch, hands down. They offer amazing food and several gluten-free options. You're always super friendly. Great dessert options. Your weekly specials are always something creative. My person favorite was grilled cheese week. The owner and the staff and always smiling and happy. These guys are a must.

One nice thing about traveling is that you have a chance to try some restaurants and food that are different from the usual places you eat back home. What makes it more enjoyable is that you can find one of a kind restaurants instead of the chain restaurants. Maxine's has a very good assortment of sandwiches and salads for all tastes. We ate here twice getting different meals each time and we weren't disappointed. So if you are in the area by all means give Maxine's a try.

I’ve had many tasty meals at Maxine’s but today’s chorizo and corn chowder soup in a bread bowl was unbelievably good! I especially like the soups in fall/winter — only $5 for a bowl of deliciousness. Highly recommend this wonderful lunch spot. They also have fabulous baked goods like brownies, cookies, cake, and pie.

Maxine's provided lunch for the bridal party while we were getting ready on my wedding day, and it worked out great. The food was delicious!!! Definitely recommend Maxine's for any catering needs.

I have enjoyed each time visiting Maxine's on Green. It is a nice and peaceful place to have breakfast or lunch. Extremely clean and the staff is super nice. Of course the eggs benedict is amazing and you get real butter!
