The Hawth Park Inn Harvester - Crawley

My friend made a reservation for a late meal after a tough day and got mixed up about which restaurant in Crawley it was. However, they spoke to Shay who was very understanding, kind, and accommodating, along with another lady. Originally, my friend was supposed to pick up the meal from a location near the cinema in Crawley, but it was closed when we arrived due to the confusion. I want to praise Shay and his team for their generosity and hospitality in meeting my friend's needs during a difficult time. Shay, you are amazing! Your customer service skills are exceptional. Thank you!

The Mixed Grill was my choice to eat, the food was awful, chicken raw, black pudding cold and not cooked properly. Wife had Steak that was full of grisstle. I spoke to waitress and manager who acknowledge food not cooked, manager said she would adjust my bill. She reduced cost by £12. I did pay, but on review I should not have done. I hope I am not ill as a result of this awful meal.

I made a reservation for two a few days in advance at this restaurant. The bottles of sauce on the table appeared to be dirty (as shown in the picture below). The appetizers were delicious, but unfortunately, the main course did not meet our expectations. We ordered gammon and chips, but the gammon was excessively fatty (see zoomed-in image of the plate across from me for a better view). When we asked the waitress if it could be replaced, she told us that her manager said all the dishes were the same. The waitress kindly offered us an alternative. Despite the busy atmosphere, having experience in the industry myself, I believe the manager's response was poor customer service. The only highlights of the meal were the appetizers and dessert.

Terrible food! Staff are running round like headless chickens and don’t have a clue what they are doing! The place was filthy, we was shown to a table and the floor was covered in the previous diners food.. sticky tables and chairs. 6 of us ordered the festive menu, it came out cold, the veg was mushy and the sprouts tasted so disgusting they was inedible.. the starters were a joke! And 2 of us never got our puddings as they forgot to put our orders through.. we decided to just pay and leave, the bill came and when we checked it, we had been charged for items we never even asked for! Once we called the waitress over and went through the bill it turned out they had over charged us by £28.

Being a regular fan of Wetherspoons brunch, I decided to try out this place for a change. Unlike Wetherspoons, this restaurant offers waiter/waitress service, but unfortunately, I was ignored for 10 minutes after being seated. Unlike Wetherspoons, they do not allow substitutions on the breakfast plate (I wanted to remove the beans). When I ordered coffee, it did not arrive with or before the brunch, so I had to ask for it again. Despite it not being busy, my request was seemingly ignored or forgotten. As I finished my meal, a server finally asked if everything was okay and promptly delivered the coffee. The food was average (6/10) and the price was higher compared to Wetherspoons (£12 vs £7). Unlike Wetherspoons, there were no unlimited refills here. Overall, I was not impressed and won't be returning anytime soon.
