This is a slightly weird place. It 's essentially an Indian restaurant, but housed in a seen better days pub. When you walk in you 're confronted by a somewhat scruffy pub bar to your right and a big dining area to your left. It all has a rather shabby air to it. Not only is it rather strange, but it 's also very cold! The heating comes from aircon style blowers above the room, which means that the lower levels don 't get warm. My feet were cold the whole time I was there. As the theme is Indian food, I decided to try a chicken tikka dish with spinach, which was marked as a new dish on the menu. Oh dear, that was a bad choice. The chicken pieces had tikka colour, but virtually no tikka flavour. The creamy spinach sauce was very bland and uninspiring. The poppadum chutneys were good, though. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good, but that counts for nothing if the food particularly Indian food is bland and lacklustre.
