Anvil Cafe & Grocer   - Crows Nest

A wonderfully fresh Scandinavian, minimalist, cool cafe in the creative hub of Crows Nest; nestled amongst publishing houses and design companies. Lots of interesting business meetings going on and obviously the need for good coffee is paramount! Delicious coffee and wholesome food makes Anvil Cafe an obvious choice in this area! Went for a weekday lunch with a friend and chose the chicken curry (w kaffir lime and coconut milk) and the slow cooked lamb (w cous cous salad w roast pumpkin and gremolata). Both dishes were generous, visually appealing and full of flavour. The curry was mild, as requested, but I could have ordered according to taste! Would happily return to taste the rest of the menu! Also, picked up some pantry essentials on the way out. You must try their coffee....its goooood!

A great 'new kid on the block' in the heart of Crows Nest. Nice relaxed vibe, loved the coffee and choice of salads... couldn't eat all of my very generous serving chicken, kale, quinoa, spicy almond salad, and loved the fact I could pick up a few hard-to-find ingredients, such as polenta dust and black rice.  Will make room for sweets next time.

Lovely, clean and spacious cafe. If u need a few extra goodies you can buy it from the grocer side. The coffee was delicious and the menu was small but each dish we ordered was so tasty and most enjoyable. The dishes were beautifully presented and the portions were generous. Highly recommend the apple pie for dessert !! Loved everything about this cafe ❤️
