Wonderful breakfast on the back terrace! fiber optic wifi and long open hours makes this a great place to work. many thanks to diego for a wonderful welcome and tour of the family hotel including the rich history.

They make one fall and stay here. diego and family were amazing hostes of this family business. get yourself a riverview room when they can. they have several open places that they can enjoy, including an incredible roof terrace. the morning breakfast was an additional bonus.

Great location. wonderful staff. comfortable room. diego and daniel were extremely helpful and have told many details about the history of cuenca and the hotel. both speak English. the condition of the hotel is very good. it is too foot to most attractions and restaurants. the internet worked well. the water was a lot hot. I would recommend you to book this place immediately. they will not regret it. it is family owned and the family has a very interesting history behind it. I'll come back to this place when I visit cuenca again. I paid $26 has a single traveler including control.

This is a charming, aesthetically pleasing hostal. The staff will go out of their way for you. I stayed in the rooftop room with a beautiful view of Cuenca. My room got a little chilly but upon request I was given an extra blanket. Plenty of hot water too!

This is a great place to stay. Fantastic view of the river and surrounding hills, central to museum's and an abundance of restaurants. The staff is helpful and friendly although only a couple speak some English. We were going to stay 3 night's, stayed 7.
